Hair Analysis
For us, hair analysis is an effective way to “connect” with the affected horse without you having to transport the horse to us. It is a prerequisite for producing a customized feed supplement or customized care lotion with a personalized active ingredient profile, as it provides insights into, for example, metabolic processes, mineral and trace element status, existing conditions, and allergies when specific parameters are analyzed.
Based on the hair analysis, we create a “customized” care lotion and feed supplement tailored to your horse.
A hair analysis is absolutely necessary for the initial order. A follow-up order without a new hair analysis is, of course, also possible.
Hair Sampling
To prepare the Customized Feed Supplement and the Customized Grooming Lotion, approximately 20 hairs each from the horse’s mane, tail, and coat are required. To collect the samples, cut the hairs as close to the skin as possible. Place the dry hair samples in an envelope and label it with the horse’s name and date of birth.
Please note
The test is performed using hair samples. The method used is highly sensitive; even a single stray hair can skew the results! If samples are taken from different animals, please wash your hands and scissors thoroughly after each sample collection. Use hair that is as clean as possible.
